Risutec has developed Forest Maker, a new-generation integrated automated planter platform – an all-in-one solution that performs the entire planting and data collection process without stopping, guided by software for the creation of a digital twin of forest for precise and easy management. At the current deforestation rate, it is estimated that there will be no forests left in between 100 to 200 years. As such, restoring woodlands has become a priority for nations but remains a massive challenge worldwide. Destruction is easy but forest restoration has inherent problems of scale, speed, efficiency, and cost. The modest results of massive reforestation projects show that the current state-of-the-art solutions cannot get the job done fast enough.
